Does anyone know if the Netgear WNR854T is Linux or some other OS?

Would love to get DD-WRT running on one of these.....

Yes: see http://wiki.openwrt.org/OpenWrtDocs/Hardware/Netgear/WNR854

But I understood that dd-wrt will not support it since it has a marvell chipset Crying or Very sad

That's a bit of a silly question.....
If the chipset is not supported, it means there's no software written for it.
This means it just can't work.

It's not a question of trying and see if it works.

*bump* Laughing

I've got 2 WRT54GLs with DD-WRT running and would be pleased to have DD-WRT running on the WNR854T too.

Any chance of getting my brand new baby flashed with DD-WRT? Any plans to support it? - I see it's asked plenty times already, but nowhere it's definitly declined.

I would say this router is soon going to be supported by OpenWRT. Have a look here.
