The R7800 have variable CPU speed. I let it run at 800 Mhz at idle and rev up to 1725 Mhz at load.

Yes, I seem to remember seeing options to change CPU speeds on some routers.

Are you using the stock firmware?

Or are you using a (different) DD-WRT firmware?

If the power LED is connected directly to one of the power sources, then perhaps the LED (or resistor) is bad ...

The ASUS recover utility is basically a fancy-dress TFTP utility.

Does the two descriptions differ in that they use the ASUS utility or a TFTP solution?

where your y needs to be different from you landlord.
