Been a very very long time since I used DD-WRT.

I'm looking for a build that is strong and reliable on the 5ghz band,needed for streaming to my quest.

Have not tried the latest build but previous ones I found wifi to be flaky just like Kasm279 troubles.

Router has been rock solid on stock & McWRT,no reboots no wifi loss just been solid day in ...

My issues are wifi,mostly 2.4ghz
It's connectable but no internet.
5ghz is fine as is LAN.

Going to revert back to stock or maybe Lede.....

Its not on wifi side if configured properly. Rock solid

there's not a lot that can be configured :/

I'm supposed to use PPPoE,username/password etc
but I use auto config-DHCP and it works fine.
not sure why or how?

MystaMagoo, unfortunately it is not trivial to just pass multicast traffic. You will need a service like Avahi to handle this. I have not done this, so I do not have first hand experience with it, but ...

Even with the older driver, Gargoyle just performs better for me as well.

I'm currently on stock firmware and want to try a specific BS build, but all of his latest builds include 2 files.
ddwrt-linksys-wrt1900ac-webflash.bin
factory-to-ddwrt.bin

running r31722 and wifi crashes on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz

wifi has never crashed on stock,Lede or McWRT
going to update now.

At least I can set an incoming IP and have a simple tickbox for multic ...

Tried Lede and it works great but to allow multicast through is not easy for the 'standard' user.

cannot use stock FW because can't control incoming IP's.

A noob question. Lots of people keep saying LEDE. What is it? How do it install it on my ACS v1 ?
