I have installed the power supply of my old Edimax 6315 SRG that delivers 12V and has 12V measured at it s output (not 17,5V).
Already using that power supply for 2 days and the router seems cooler ... |

Just measured the Voltage from the power supply.
It shows 17,5 Volts running with no load.I can assume the drop is maybe 2 V when router is connected ,so it may be feeding with 15V ~ at it s mains. ... |

So how hot does it get ?! If you can touch it with your finger maybe it s normal for a chip that does something. NB/SB chips (plastic capsule) on PC can get as 60 Celsius and perform quite ok. |
