I think it could only be one of two things.
1. The wiggler cooked the CPU with the wrong connections you made.
2. Bad connection at the JTAG header, ether cold solder or lifted traces.

You need to replace cfe for dd-wrt installation, and you have to do this with jtag. It might work with serial, but I'm not sure so stick with jtag.
