The default IP of this Buffallo is 192.168.11.1 after a reset.
I missed in your first post that it now has Buffalo's firmware on it. If I understand correctly, before that it had standard DD-WRT; at ...

So 192.168.1.1 doesn't work? I'd reset the router to default settings and start over. Since you can't get to the GUI, hold the reset button in for 20-30 seconds until the lights indicate it's reboot ...

You didn't say anything about what kind of routers and antennas you have.

If you have a flaky connection, you may be able to improve it enough to make it stable by moving both routers around while ...

This is bad advice.
You may be partly correct. It's been a while since I've set up a repeater with DD-WRT on Broadcom (most of my Broadcom stuff has been running Tomato for at least a couple years) ...

Tomato does per-user bandwidth monitoring ?
Yes, realtime (several graphs), daily & monthly.

I've found that for some reason, some routers don't want to work right in Repeater mode unless you set it up via the Site Survey.

Reset to default settings, then set IP address if you need to, and ...

Well there's always a chance, but it's a small chance.

What do you need them to do that the stock firmw ...

ISSUE: No GUI interface on 192.168.11.1
I believe that's the default address for Buffalo's firmware. DD-WRT uses 192.168.1.1.

I may end up just flashing to tomato (although I see it has been a while since they had an update) and try that out.
For Tomato, try this variant. Most recent update was December.

PostForum: Atheros WiSOC based Hardware   Posted: Tue Feb 03, 2015 16:46   Subject: Any reason to upgrade from 14929?
Hi all,

For some time I've been running 14929 on several Trendnet TEW-652BRP's. It's very stable with no issues. Is there any reason to upgrade to a newer build? New features, etc.?

Thanks.
