Its seems there are several limitations with vlan or might not work at all on Atheros.

You should not use DHCP forwarder on a WAP.

Since your device becomes unresponsive the best way is to start from scratch.

You could try to use dd-wrt vlan capabilities.
But you probably can't use the gui, and im not sure it will work if you bridge a tagged vlan to the lan switch.

No that won't work, then you would have 2 dhcp server connected to each other via lan ports.

In your setup you can't get what you want.

DD-WRT cannot issue dhcp requests out of the wan interface it recieves an IP adress on it.
It cannot have a double function.
