Atheros hardware doesn't support vlan port switching with dd-wrt. AFAIK - atheros with dd-wrt only supports vlan tagging, it should have noted that in the wiki page introduction.

You'll need to use client mode, then create a virtual access point once the client mode bridge is established.
Or you can use WDS, which is a little more complex, but not to bad. |
