After I posted last, I tried uploading the trx file instead of the bin file. I realize this was pointless, but I read somewhere that that's what you should do. Obviously the result was the same.

Second attempt. This time I did not delete anything and just installed Privoxy. Also, instead of modifying 18946_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e1200v1.bin, I used 18946_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-nv64k.bin. The build succee ...

The version number will be on the bottom of the router itself. It is not on the box. I don't think it can be deciphered from the MAC address either, as some have suggested.

Sorry if this is a noob question, but does this mean that I must always use a build with nv64k in the bin file name when upgrading from one version of DD-WRT to the next on my Cisco Linksys E1200 V1?

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=156851 ... that the E1200 has 64K of NVRAM. Does that mean that I need to modify a different build? Perhaps this one: dd-wrt.v24-18946_N ... |

Flashing dd-wrt.v24-18946_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e1200v1.bin to Cisco Linksys E1200 V1 went without a hitch. However wi-fi speed is awful, especially on iPad. Wife is not happy about this. I tried disabling ...
