I bricked my brother's E2500 when I hastily flashed just relying on the wiki. Fortunately it was replaced under warranty.

Flashing the Buffalo with TomatoVPN (OpenVPN mod) and clearing 'NVRAM thorough' solved the problem. | |

I've switched back and forth a few times. Just make sure to clear NVRAM before and after. You're right about clearing NVRAM. Learned this lesson the hard way, when port forwarding would never work a ... |

I have the same router... I first ran DD-WRT v23 VPN (Below Mega), even special worked fine, then switched to Tomato Firmware 1.19. So I think v24 should work fine, although I haven't tried it. |

Thanks for the response everyone... Resetting didn't work, weird thing is I've now flashed it with Tomato Firmware and reset it again, to get better QoS packet shaping, and still I get ports 'closed ... |

SPI is enabled, already tried re-boots earlier, made no difference. Tried it again anyway... Only ports 23, 25, 80 and 135 are stealth. |
