Double check that the config-file actually is found at that path, since I don't have any dd-wrt box running openvpn at the moment.

I've had some issues with my Netgear WNR3500L too, but after it first time recognizes the usb-device (usb-pendrive in my case), it keeps recognizing it just fine afterwards.
