I think in recovery the image size needs to be under a certain size? Maybe the image you're flashing is too large. | |

As fatalhalt said its ddwrt doing software nat where as the asus firmware does hardware. You could try merlin firmware. I think it has hardware nat?
note: don't go between merlin and ddwrt. always ... |
