This is kind of a sad commentary on the state of dd-wrt with respect to broadcom devices.

I've recently installed tomato onto my asus rt-n16 and I don't think that I'll be migrating back.

I'd had an ...

Sash has been doing a lot of work on OpenVPN and those changes have made it into this firmware.

It has made it possibly a little easier to implement and manage an OpenVPN setup using only the gui.

You'll need a later build than the one you are using.

The full GUI support for OpenVPN wasn't in the version that you have.

I'd try something like

Try running the OpenVPN-GUI as an administrator (this assumes that you are on Vista or Win7)

Right click the icon, left click on "Run As Administrator"

Left click Yes on the security dialo ...

I've successfully used Asus WL-500gPv2's and an RT-N16, both have run OpenVPN server well.

I've also had a tunnel running between an Asus WL-520GU and a Linksys WRT-54GL that was pretty trouble free.

This is almost head in the sand behaviour, "I don't use that feature/see that issue so it shouldn't affect people"

If you have a build that is working for you and is stable then great, stic ...

Generally comp-lzo will work, but it does have to be specified in both the server and the client config files.

I used the wiki more like a guide than an absolute step by step type install, and I supp ...

I'd add the

export PATH=/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin
cd /tmp
openvpn --mktun --dev tun0
ifconfig tun0 <ip address> netmask 255.255.255.0 promisc up
to your startup, otherwise Open ...

Given that you can talk to the router 192.168.2.1, and it can talk with it's local 192.168.2.0 network all I'd do is add the following routes on the client box:

(formated for windows networking)

The script method stores the scripts elsewhere, either in /jffs or on an external usb/hdd.

It does exactly the same thing, just doesn't store the certificates in nvram. The certificates themselves ar ...

Both the internet and your local lan are living on the 192.168.1.x ip range.

Broadly speaking your router doesn't know how to route packets to the internet, as far as the dd-wrt router is concerned i ...

Also try re-entering your certificates, Ensure that you have included the

----------Begin Certificate----- and ---End Certificate--- lines.

As an interface this would probably work quite well. Initially designed for use on the WRT type devices it has branched out and is available on many different types of hardware. I suspect that the X86 ...

@hching

I can report that your version of the script worked well for me. The transparent proxies in my ISP's network are no longer borking it up for me. Thanks to you and ClassicalDude.
