I did chrck the input cap voltage specs and they were I believe over spec'd in that department. Seem to remember 50 or 63volt spec.

I would forget bridge mode and just use Client mode. Leave the first on AP and set the second to Client.

If you're connected to the Client router wirelessly, don't forget to set up a virtual acc ...

I did all this a few years ago, but only had one dd-wrt firmware router.

I now have two atheros, DIR 300's

Well a open circuit 7.5 volt unit was putting out 9.5 volt.
under load from the DIR 300 it dropped to 8 volts and has been running for 10 minutes or more now..not let the smoke out yet.

As Insaid in my first reply, I am novice at this too
Maybe my understanding of what bridge does and does not do is flawe'd

May be try a hard reset 30/30/30 and setup again?
