it's a double nat configuration and will defeat things like upnp, sip etc.

If you transfer from wireless to wireless the effective bandwidth is halfed if you do not use different transponders. that adds up 8 mbyte/s which is actually not that bad.

you can change the wireless mac adresses in the nvram, but it's a really bad idea. dont do that unless you are absolutely sure it's necessary (which i dont think it is).

with a usb device i'd also say it's a power issue, but with a sd card i guess thats unlikely. it's probably breaking down.
