I've now tried the CFE and the restoration tool with both stock and Merlin. Nothing works.

The restoration tool says something about "conecting to wireless device", then goes through a 0 ...

Yes, I can do continuous ping.

Then use the ASUS restore tool?

What IP should I be looking at.

DD-WRT is, of course 192.168.1.1, but the original hardware was 192.168.29.1.

Power off
While still holding reset, power on.
Wait for slow flashing light.
