I just got two IoT devices that I would like to put on a separate VLAN to isolate them from the rest of my network. One of the devices is hardwired and the other is connected via wifi.

The hardwi ...

Create a bridge and put the VAP and the VLAN10 on that bridge.

I do not think you can tag wifi traffic.

Of course you can. It just isn't commonly done because many wireless routers don't suppo ...

I never got MAC blocking to work, but there's a simple alternative. I put the entries in the GUI, then added this to my startup script:

# Make MAC blocking actually work (test: ebtables -L --Lc)

This might eventually drive the price of Kong specific devices up

Why? Even if you accept the premise that third party router firmware has ANY affect on router prices (I don't) then losing the Ko ...

Huge bummer that Kong is leaving. The fact he actually tests his builds made them a much better choice for those of us who have router models he supports.

I actually chose the AC68U (TM1900) I have ...

I have e2fsck on my AC68U running Kong 35030M. Maybe it was removed from more recent builds, or is only present on installs for certain hardware?

Google's "safesearch" is a DNS setting - it overrides the lookup for www.google.com to force safe search.

So setting this up will have nothing to do with VLANs, but rather proper configur ...

You don't want to "tag vlan2 to be 10". If you do that, you are double tagging. Double tagging has its uses, but isn't what you need here. You want to use vlan10 and tag it, so what you need ...

DD-WRT already supports this just fine. Set all your APs to the same SSID and password and have them all on the same subnet (no daisy chaining routers from LAN to WAN) and the clients will seamlessly ...

Why are you worried about the difference between HTTP and HTTPS over a direct LAN connection to the router? If you were using an unsecured wifi connection, or doing a restore from the WAN I could unde ...

That is possible. Do nvram show, then erase nvram, then nvram show, and you should see that not everything is erased (at least on my router).
Some board data are retained and if you have the wrong b ...

You can try the following:
Go back to stock
Reset to defaults
Load the latest Kong build
Erase nvram from CLI and setup manually

I don't get it, how would this help? Doesn't "erase nvram&q ...

If you want to isolate each on a separate network why are you creating a br1 bridge? The only bridge you should have is br0, which is your LAN. Assuming you want 2.4 GHz as part of br0 using 192.168.1 ...
