I guess I'm blind because I can't find the OpenWRT firmware anywhere and the steps to set it up???

Exactly the same problem here. WR841ND V7.2

on a wrt54g with a micro build is there a way to set dns 1 and 2 in client/repeater bridge to something like 8.8.8.8 - 8.8.4.4 ??

Linksys e1000v2 is now supported. Please use attached firmware for flashing. You can simply update from original firmware GUI. After flashing be sure to restore to factory defaults.

Mac address is embedded in your cfe and the cfe doesn't get altered when you flash dd-wrt on that router, (v.4) so there should be no reason to change it.

So far I've bricked three in a row.
