The K2.6 builds possibly have a soft brick issue, and if you are selecting "reset to defaults after flashing" (which is broken), you are shooting yourself in the foot.

I've never heard of having to short any pins to get TFTP to work.

Well I had to unbrick the router by shorting 2 pins as shown here: https://youtu.be/tVxlBhJEfRo
After doing this I could easily TFTP the factory firmware to it. Without shorting it would not allow ... |
