I really doubt that device will support that kind of real life throughput. Try a used E3000, flash it with tomato. You'll be happy.

I would explore other options yes. You'll never get that kind of LAN to WAN or WAN to LAN throughput with DD-WRT on any device. Your best bet would be to check out smallnetbuilder.com check the wirele ...

I use the internal switch of the router, then the speed test gives me <100Mbps. I replace the router by a gigabit switch, then the s ...

Maybe give the E4200 a shot? V1 is compatible with DD-WRT/Tomato. You'd want to check and see if it's the same switch chip. It offers a few advantages, like a better antenna array.

DD-WRT is notorious for wonky WAN to LAN throughput, both wired and WIFI. I, therefore, would not be suprised if there was also a problem with the switching. A simple test would be to flash your E3000 ...

I'm not sure why people are bothering with this. Shibby's 1.28 is working great on this router.

Shibby Tomato does have a mac address filter, if that's what you're referring to.

One way around that is to use DHCP but reserve static IPs for the devices that need rules, then assign those rule ...

No one has said anything about using a MAC filter as your only security. So not sure where your comment is coming from, though you are correct. It's very easy to spoof a MAC.

Also, just an FYI, shibby tomato has both 2.5 and 5 ghz bands working. You can find it here.
