Hello,
My first post I think - not 100% sure this is the correct place to ask my question.

Some years ago I managed as a novice to flash DD-WRT (21153) onto my Belkin F5D8235 v2034ed via the GUI.

Recently I made the error of switching off GUI access and I am now severely stuck.

I have tried to clear the settings via the 30 sec reset & 30/30/30 reset with no avail (IP is unchanged at 192.168.0.1 rather than default 192.168.1.1) and I still cannot access the GUI.

I am considering using the GUI TFTP to reflash but am unclear as to whether the same "Belkin-F5D8235-4v2-webflash.bin" file can be used ?

I have read a lot of the threads but they are disjointed and I am confused as what exactly to do to resolve the lack of GUI access.

Step by step knowledge from experienced users would be gratefully received.

Thank you - what I neglected to mention is that along with not being able to Reset/Hard reset, although I can Ping 192.168.1.1, Telnet requests are not accepted!

Also, a friend setup SSH, but I have no record of the details so I can`t use that either.

Advice on whether I can use the TFTP GUI with the "webflash" bin would be most appreciated, as that appears the easiest solution to me with the limited skills and options I have.

Is the router still functional besides webGUI is disabled? Can clients connect to the LAN be able to connect to the Internet? Is wifi working? If so, does it still keep the old SSID or change to open with dd-wrt as SSID?

If it is not working, you may have to use serial method to recover the router.

Before I removed it from the network it still functioned as setup, i.e. the SSID was mine and the LAN connections/internet worked.

So what happened after you disabled webGUI and what is the status at present after you did 30-30-30 reset? I want to know if the router has changed to default setting after you hit the 30-30-30. You mentioned that you can ping 192.168.1.1 and you also mentioned it changed to 192.168.0.1. So what is its current status now? Read my previous post, can you still access the internet from LAN port? Does the SSID change to dd-wrt?

Sorry, I made a typo.
I can ping 192.168.0.1, the IP I set it to, not the DD-WRT default 192.168.1.1 but cannot Telnet to 192.168.0.1.
The 30/30/30 reset seems to have no effect!
LANs are accessible and SSID is as I set it, not open DD-WRT default.
Thanks

I see, it is strange that you can't telnet to the router. Are you using program like putty to telnet to the router?

Hard reset should work.

Just tried on a spare
Unplugged power, held reset button using pin. Applied power.
When lights flashed.removed pin

Router reset to default, default ip and ssid

Sounds like your fried may have turned off telnet when they set up ssh
Without either or the gui you will need to open it up and connect the serial cable,

When you have done this, you will have access to the console and can start the web gui
