Installed the new firmware a few hours ago.

Up to now it seems to be stable, except USB-support which ist still very buggy. Some USB-sticks I tried were recognized, some not.
Wireless 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz is working fine and fast.

You can find it here:
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2016/01-19-2016-r28882/broadcom/dd-wrt.v24_mega_wrt610n.bin

UPDATE 2016-02-17: 28882 had few very short disconnects on WiFi, which is unconvenient while online playing. 29059 is better, but also not absolutely free from disconnects.

Coincidentally, I installed the same build yesterday. And it seems to be working fine so far. I use only wireless router functionality. I do not use USB or any other function. I cannot comment on their status with this build. A new build seems to have been posted today.

Yes. I am using it on Linksys 610n V1.Seems to work better for wireless than the [BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2 12-24-10-r15962] that I was using till now.

I have the V1 version that I might use as a wireless bridge connected on the 5ghz. Does the beta section contain the best versions to run. Is the stable section not updated anymore?

I think there is no more support for the WRT610N1 in "stable section". It hasn't been updated for years.
The only way is try and error with the betas.

I unfortunately had 3 disconnects in 5 hours online gaming, which is a pain in the ass when you play MMO shooters. Back to the very old "DD-WRT-mega_generic-24 preSP2 build 14929 (2010-08-12)", old but stable!

Current uptime 1 day 17 hours+

Any updates on the the most stable build for this router? It seems to be very unstable no matter what firmware I use. Many say it's because of the low NVRAM on this unit but is there any fix to that? I don't use it for any services (except DDNS) and I only use it for basic NAT device as a home router.

Did you ever experience the same problems I'm having when you were using a different firmware?

I had to throttle download speed to 9000 in uTorrent settings (using 100 mbit/s connection). Otherwise rooter were rebooting under load.
Now I have dyndns, upnp, iptv (multicast via igmprt) and it all works normal.

Why does it say here: http://desipro.de/ddwrt-ren/K26/ReadMe that for "Builds based on r20780 or newer:" the WRT610N v1 is not supported anymore? I'd assume that r20805 falls under that limitation. Are you using v1 as well?

Yep, I have WRT610N V1

Not sure though, how to show it from dd-wrt. These are some nvram vars:

Code:

root@DD-WRT:~# nvram get DD_BOARD
Linksys WRT610N
root@DD-WRT:~# nvram get boardrev
0x10
root@DD-WRT:~# nvram get boardtype
0x478

Technically, the build that you have installed on your router doesn't really have support for it. If you read a few pages back, there was a user asking the same question I just asked. Someone installed 20805 just fine on their v1 but then the readme says otherwise.
