You have to wait for the bootloader when it says FOXCONN
Then press CTRL-C + Enter rapidly in a row

Could be a a series of bad sectors on the flash. Mine had the same issue. It would go fine, then when it was flashing a bad area, it puked and soft-bricked.
You will need a TTL-USB adapter and the stock Netgear image. I did find that OpenWrt 15.05.1 did fix the issue. Hopefully it gets integrated into dd-wrt soon.
EDIT: I did not try a Kong build on it yet. I will soon.
EDIT2: Tried the Kong build. Soft-Bricked it was well.

Thanks. I had located it off google but had to manually assemble the url. Netgears site sucks.
This is a good post for everyone on specific r6300v2CH.
So check this out. So far out of 50 r6300v2CH units that I have 3 Will not allow DD WRT to install. The Kernel is panicking and rebooting in a boot loop until I TFTP the factory firmware back. There are reported memory errors on the flash. Any suggestions from anybody on what I should do as far as memory problems on the flash?
This Foxconn boot doesnt have NAND commands. It does have NVRAM though.
I have an ac1450, which is the same HW. The serial connection gave me a lot of problems, but I found if I start the router with only Ethernet connected, then as soon as that comes up connect the serial and hit Ctrl+c it works perfectly.
Assumptions:
1. Everyone on the forum has read the relevant forum section announcements.
2. For Broadcom section we have ALL at least tried to understand the "Peacock" thread,HERE
