Reset the router and install thru GUI
Restart your PC and clear browser cache.
----
Connection to 192.168.178.4
tftp> connect 192.167.178.4
These IPs are definitely not from a WNDR3700v4 that has been reset to dd-wrt defaults ?????
Or else -- If you don't have a live WAN or can't get one but can still telnet to router then -
With nothing connected but your computer to router via ethernet cable -
telnet in
Code:
erase nvram
erase linux
reboot
this will delete the firmware -- you will have to TFTP!!!
You should now have the flashy power light....but - you need to power-cycle
router giving it at least 10 seconds off. Should reboot back to flashy power light.
You need to set a static IP on your computer (192.168.1.x --- greater than the 1 node)
Use your favorite TFTP client to TFTP new firmware to 192.168.1.1
I would recommend a netgear firmware so you can check that all is working ok. If you don't
have original netgear FW it let me know.... I have a few versions.
You can then install dd-wrt starting with a factory.img (the 23503-wndr3700v4-factory.img always works
for this ... you also should read wiki on the wndr3700v4) You can go staright back to dd-wrt but you
really should use the 23503-wndr3700v4-factory.img to do this... if you do, be patient because it
takes the wndr3700v4 a long while to fully boot up.
good luck -
