I know this is kind of off topic, but I don't know where else to ask for help.

I have a generic no brand router that I just pulled out of a box and wanted to put to use. It is for use outdoors, and plugs into a large antenna.

I thought I'd try to update the firmware. I couldn't find a brand name or model number. Just that it is a rt305x. I flashed wive-ng-rtl. It works, more options and probably better software than the original.

But there is no way to turn on the external antenna. It has an internal antenna that is working by default.

So I need to either find a way to turn on the external antenna on wive-ng. Try different firmware, dd-wrt maybe. Or go back to the factory firmware.
I don't know the brand or model, so I have no idea where even start to look.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
