im running ddwrt 14896 on wrt54gl...
on Administration section in web interface i check both HTTP and HTTPS but i cannot access the rooter with https...gives error message "unexpectedly closed connection"...http access works...why ?

"HTTPS Support for Web Mngt" is not on micro nor mini builds; http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/What_is_DD-WRT%3F#K2.4_Build_Features

Also, 14896 is a bad build; read the Peacock...use 14929...
