I have a R8000 with latest Kong build dd-wrt. But I cannot perform nvram erase. I always get "flash is NAND. nvram: Invalid argument.".

I tried "mtd -r erase nvram" and got the same error, however, the router was reset to factory default. Please help.

Long shot but have you tried re-flashing and try it again it with another kong build? I think there is a new one now. Or probably changing the client/way you use to telnet into the router.

I tried quite a few version and still cannot. I tried mtd -r erase nvram. The router would be set to factory default mode but I still have error message. Sad

Looks like the command is "nvram erase", not "erase nvram". I used the former one and it works.

Why all those mentioned are the later one?

From reading this, and the link at the end, have identified that "erase nvram" is correct. But I am getting that "flash is NAND" did we determine wether there was a problem with that? I then rebooted and all settings were default so I assumed it was supposed to be there. no?
