The Pendo Buddybox vn32 3g router

A 3g router available in australia, mostly used by customers of the dodo internet
provider. There isn't a dd-wrt firmware mod available for this router.

This router contains
- a 4 port ethernet hub
- wifi sharer with internal antenna,
- a 3g sim card slot for operation of a mobile broadband service,
(GSM/3G/4G SIM card on the GSM 900/1800Mhz network.)
- an external antenna socket with standard antenna for 3g signal
- a usb socket for connection of a 3g usb modem
- a PSTN (normal landline) phone socket to enable a standard home phone to operate
through the voip facilities of an internet connection

pros
good quality low cost 3g router
good for dodo and telstra usb modems
good for voip if you're a dodo customer
good web interface with many settings and flash update tool

cons
many optus 3g usb modems won't work and many others
can't telnet into router, only http web interface
most mobile broadband sim cards arn't compatible with the sim card socket
voip support is likely limited to dodo customers
wifi has no external aerial connector
limited instructions and documentation
limited vendor support from pendo
no firmware updates available
no increased support for new usb modems

dlink DIR-300-b1, similar board design, same cpu, similar location of components,
similar reset and emergency reflash procedures, hold reset button down,
then turn on router while keeping reset button held down, then release reset button
after 5 - 7 seconds.
