I can test it for you, just tell me what to do

I think if it is displayed in the following, then it should be available:

On the Administration>Management page, enable IPv6 and radvd. (don't enable it, as I don't know what it will do, but please check to see if IPv6 and radvd are there).

https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/IPv6#Enabling_IPv6_Support_2

There is no IPv6 or radvd on Administration>Management page but you can enable IPv6 on Setup>IPV6.
Take a look at the screenshot below.

Sorry it took me a couple of days.

thanks! Didn't know they changed the location of IPv6 as the wiki mentions it being somewhere else. That is a nice gui color, which theme are you using?

Thank you. I use themes so I know where I'm logged on Smile
It's simply 'yellow'.

Hi all.

I'm newbie here... I found this FW on FTP base betas/2015/04-09-2015-r26653/tplink_tl-wr842ndv2.

http://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2016/06-20-2016-r29974/tplink_tl-wr842ndv2/

Is somebody using this version? It's stable? In case I have some problem, is it possible to return to stock firmware?

My router is the WR842ND v2

Thanks and regards.

@brneluz
There is a newer version:
http://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2016/06-20-2016-r29974/tplink_tl-wr842ndv2/tl-wr842ndv2-webflash.bin
There are two kinds of flash files: upgrade file and first installation.
The link above is the newest version for the new installation.
Yes, you can revert to stock firmware but I'm sure you wouldn't want to Wink

@inside83

Thanks for that. I installed on my router and the result is perfect. Solved all my problems.

Thanks all for the help!

At time, is this correct? Every month is released a newest version? How can I know if have some update or if is the same version of last month?

For example, is this the same firmware of the last month? (is the same size).

July version:
http://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2016/07-20-2016-r30260/tplink_tl-wr842ndv2/

Thanks again.

I can also confirm that r29974 seems to be working correctly. The only thing that seems a bit odd is that the web interface sometimes takes a while to load (refreshing the page makes it load straight away).

@brneluz: it's different every time. If you download both files and run md5sum on it to calculate the MD5 hash, you'll see it's different:
Code:
3f54a4c19bbc2ff9e5033336f8392f59  tl-wr842ndv2-webflash-r29974.bin
5af82cb57f8413600478526afc006c79  tl-wr842ndv2-webflash-r30260.bin

Usually it's a good idea to keep an eye on the changelog thread to know what changed: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=279466

Turns out that there is one bug in the firmware that causes clients on LAN to not see each other, see this for a workaround:

Everything else seems to work fine so far (tested static leases, IPv6 tunneling and USB).

First mount one partition and see how it goes

Hi, i'm new to tho WRT world, i'd just installed the this version on my old tplink.
I have a few questions:
1- when a new version is released i just need to install the webflash on the router?
2- in this router we can use optware or entware?(what's the diference between them?)
3- can you show me a good/easy tutorial to install the ***ware, i found many diferent tutorials in the forum but i'm not sure if it works on any device or is exclusive to some device(i'm not sure if i can install optware, entware or something else).
