Well, long story short, I used dd-wrt and then installed the wrong version by accident. Now the device keeps rebooting and I can't do anything with it. I tried holding down reset for 30 seconds, but to no avail.
Just to clarify, trying to connect via ethernet just comes up empty (it doesn't detect anything) and there's no wi-fi.
Help?
Edit: I've been reading the peacock thread, at point 6.
The pings are these (translated from spanish):
General Error.
Response from 192.168.0.33: Destination Host inaccessible.
Timeout.
What I did (I don't know if that's right) is change ipv4 to 192.168.1.1 and ping it. I think that's what the tutorial asked in "Check to make sure that you have your computer set to the same static IP subnet (eg.192.168.1.10) as the address you are trying to ping."
Edit 2: I went to the same ip (192.168.0.33) and tried to ping it. These are the results.
Respuesta desde 192.168.0.46: bytes=32 tiempo<1m TTL=128
Edit 3: seems I was pinging myself. I tried with the ethernet cable disconnected andit still had that answer.
It definitely helped. After a short half an hour or so, I was able to repair it.
The IP I needed to change was to 192.168.0.66 and the file extension to wr941ndv6_tp_recovery.bin from the original file wr940nv3_us_3_16_9_up_boot(151102).bin from TP-Link official website, which comes from the downloaded file TL-WR940N_V3_151102_US.zip
The version of my router is WR-940N V3, but the firmware is the same as WR-940ND V6 (it will accept it in tftpd).
If someone reads this and has the same problem, follow the guide and my experience.
