Hello,
Very happy to see the v3 on the supported list (asking here since I don't see a Qualcomm forum). The hardware DB says that the minimum release to use is "archer-c7-v2 build 24118", but that is from May, 2014.
Is there a newer release that is known to work that will include an extra two years of bug fixes and work by the DD-WRT team? I don't want to just grab the latest beta and hope for the best... unless trial and error is the preferred method?
Thanks! _________________ --

dont use r30260 or r30284 they are broken for that unit & many others. the betas directory is the ftp where all builds are, ignore router database its older than the moon. & yes all builds even on the router database, are "betas" _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

I think the r30082 will work fine, as said by tatsuya46, don't use the latest two builds that have some troubles, the 30082 is the third last and works fine.

Many thanks, this is just what I wanted to know.
As for the router DB, yes, it is ancient. It didn't recognize any form of the name "Archer C7". Instead, I found that the v3 was compatible using the much larger supported hardware list. That had confirmation but no links to any other information.
I do have one other question about file choice. Currently, I am still on latest stock firmware from TP-Link. Should I flash with factory-to-ddwrt.bin or factory-to-ddwrt-US.bin since I have a US v3 model? _________________ --
