Hi,

What's the newest or most recommended version for a DIR-615 D1?

I'm a bit confused since the router database on the site seems to suggest a very old version from 2013, but even when browsing manually I can't find versions past 2014.

Also, I'm not quite clear on if - in essence - any of the newer versions should be compatible routers that have previously been added support for, or if they need special versions.

Thanks

I'm running r30342 on a D2 for two weeks now (previously was on r15506 for 3+ years) and all's good.

You can find all betas here: http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/other-downloads?path=betas

Only thing I've changed really was reducing the default TX power from 100mW (71mW under r15506) to 50mW.

The product manual states max value for the Ralink RT3052 is 14dBm = 25mW but I've been running 4x DIR-615 units (2x D2 + 2x D4) on 71mW for 3+ years to no ill effect. Either way I've set r30342 to 50mW instead of the default 100mW.

Running r30356 now and works great. Previosly running r22118 for years because later versions was slow and buggy, but this seems fixed now (don't remeber when but maybe somewhere after r29000?). I've always been running at 71mw.
