Hello there, I've been trying to update to the latest and greatest versions of WRT for my D-Link DIR-615d but haven't had any success. I'm able to update but every version after firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r29519 std (04/25/16) doesn't connect to the Internet / WAN.

I've tried the 30-30-30 reset as well as more basic factory resets but with no such luck. Nor have i been able to search for a solution on this forum. Could anyone point me to the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

first this is Atheros forum, for Ralink devices try:

http://dd-wrt.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=50

second 30/30/30 reset on DIR-615 plays dodge tricks so try: "erase nvram" via telnet or ssh

third 29519 is the last version working well on DIR-615 Ralink SOC

pay attention as we are talking for Ralink, not Atheros units Wink

True

Not true. Running 30082 on two Atheros-based 615's without issue, aside from some open tickets.

Router: wndr3700v4
Firmware: 07-01-2016-r30082
Status: Broken: Client mode does not work :: Wireless Channel width does not apply (Default set as "Full (20 MHz)" but when I connect to AP it shows as HT40 (channel 6+2)
:: Browsing internet from wireless and direct lan port is extremely slow.
:: Wireless (router/client) connection to AP shown as very strong

Firmware: 02-04-2014-r23503 client mode/AP mode works fine from http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Netgear_WNDR3700

EDIT: I upgraded to DD-WRT 29739 - 2016/05/19 and client appears to be working fine for now
EDIT2: I started to see slow speeds again, downgraded to DD-WRT v3.0-r28647 std (01/02/16). Works for now

EDIT3: these settings below appeared to help on slow downs
Service tab >> Additional DNSMasq Options
Code:
cache-size=0
no-negcache

EDIT4: Upgraded to : DD-WRT v3.0-r30016 std (06/24/16) with the above settings: Stable for 24hr so far

Thank you, DD-WRT v3.0-r30082 has been VERY stable with my Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N. I've struggled with several versions and this one has been awesome.

The features I need are statically assigning about 100 IP addresses, access restrictions, and a client bridge.

I enabled the watchdog timer on a 4 minute schedule to 8.8.8.8. Both routers have been up for a month.
