Is there a way to alter the transmit power database?
My device (Archer C7) is capable of doing 30dbm max on 5GHz but I need to change to a specific channel and regulatory domain.

If remember correctly there was a "hack" in the past (though it was for OpenWrt I think) that would let you alter it yourself.

Any help is appreciated.

no that is radio design max, & firmware max. reg domains & channels arent special..

canada channel 5 @ 20dbm is the same as japan channel 5 @ 20dbm etc. just use one that allows 30 dbm for the wanted channel. 149+ allow it, 100+ is allowed on 1 reg domain we have, nothing does it below channel 100.

Ok, thanks for the reply.
What reg domain allows 30dmb on channel 100?

macau, but limits 2.4ghz to 23dbm. as both bands have to use the same reg domain.

country MO: DFS-FCC
(2402 - 2482 @ 40), (23)
(5170 - 5250 @ 80), (23), AUTO-BW
(5250 - 5330 @ 80), (23), DFS, AUTO-BW
(5490 - 5730 @ 160), (30), DFS
(5735 - 5835 @ 80), (30)

Cool! Thanks.
I'll use that one than. Cool

23dBm on 2.4GHz is fine The Archer C7 can't do much more than that I guess.

I have 2 Archers.
Archer 1st floor: 2.4GHz on channel 11 + lower (23dBm) and 5GHz on channel 100 + upper (30dBm).

Archer 3rd floor: 2.4GHz on channel 1 + upper (23dBm) and 5GHz on channel 108 + upper (30dBm).

Both are setup with country code MO (Macau).
