Here are the links to High Res photos of the Buffalo WZR2-G300N Router board.

This board was nice, but the firmware is lacking big time. The router is a workhorse and excellent for P2P, Gaming. Not one single hang up or slow down.

Coupled with DD-WRT this would be one bad MUTHA! I hope DD-WRT will be possible.

Here are the pics. They were 2MBs each so I scaled them down but still crisp and clear to see.

Great pics. I'm sure they will help.

Doesn't look like Broadcom chips.

On the circuit board there's an etching: WRTR-205GN_V01

I did some searching for the IC and found an almost matching product:
SparkLAN WRTR-501

http://www.sparklan.com/product_details.php?prod_id=177

In addition, this device uses Linux 2.6.17 (look at attachment below) which is a screenshot from the firmware upgrade.

If we can get the source from Buffalo for this device, then it's a start for getting it dd-wrt supported. Now that DD-WRT and Buffalo have a "deal" going on, should it really be that hard?
