I have the exact same router. When I bought it around a year ago, I flashed it straight to DD-WRT. Everything else works, but whenever the router loses power or the connection drops, it doesn't reconnect. It is hugely annoying, when the box doesn't see any signal.

Only way to get it back working is to 30/30/30 reset every time after a power loss, configure everything (setting up WLAN, fiddling with random options), and as the final step configure the connection (my settings are DHCP, Annex M, 0/33, Bridged) and hit apply. Then it works again until electricity/connection drops. After resets it sees the signal as ON just fine, but after disconnects the signal is down and stays down.

I've tried the versions mentioned here. The old one in the wiki or website or whatever it was, and the betas. Nothing works. I'm so frustrated with that thing.

The TalkTalk settings are here:

http://help2.talktalk.co.uk/router-settings/how-do-i-setup-router-thats-not-talktalk

To which you need to add Annex A ADSL2+ in he DD-WRT settings

And you can get them by a search on site:talktalk.co.uk adsl router settings.

Last I looked Buffalos were documented by DD-WRT as not clearing nvram properly on a 30/30/30. So you need to telnet in and do a

erase nvram
reboot

Then load your firmware and repeat. If you haven't done this you need to do it to recover, including reloading firmware.

Mine has connected to TalkTalk fine with build 24461 after doing this.

hey guys. I have the same router and was having the same problem. Today I decided to start from random 2013 builds and can report that Build 21676 works fine.

I restarted, powered off my router few times and it would connect to ADSL the moment it comes back online.

You can download the 21676 build from ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2013/05-27-2013-r21676/buffalo_wbmr_g300h/

there seems to be some kind of bug in the recent version of the firmware. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can have a look at this.

/Edit : I did try the most recent build 24461 and ADSL would not work. Downloaded 21676, select reset and thats it. Didnt do 30/30/30 reset.

Hi guys,

Are you still using the 21676 build?

Is it still considered the most stable?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I wonder if any Buffalo users out there got a fix to this.

I'm using DD-WRT v3.0-r29739 std (05/19/16) which works well until I have a power cut then the DSL PPoA connection will not come up despite the status page showing the previous WAN IP address, DNS & Connection rates. Currently a 30/30/30 reset & reconfig is the only why to get it back.

I've been through this process as hinted in a previous post ..

1. 30/30/30 reset
2. telnet erase nvram & reboot
3. reinstall firmware (with settings reset option)
4. 30/30/30 reset
5. telnet erase nvram & reboot
6. add the config settings manually via web gui

... which gets the router working perfectly until I power cycle & then no reconnect of the dsl connection. Any suggestions ??

OK to hopefully help someone out in the future & close this issue The steps below get me a stable setup that reconnects after reboot & power cycle.

1. Telnet Erase nvram & reboot
2. Remove all cables
3. 30/30/30 reboot
4. Lan cable only
5. Login to web interface & Firmware install v3.0-r29739 (05/19/16) std with rest to default option set
6. Telnet erase nvram & reboot
7. remove all cables
8. 30/30/30 reboot
9. attached lan & wan/dsl cable
10. configure via web interface

Thx to leny2010 for getting me started on this.
