I was wondering if you also tested using a different preformatted EXT2 USB flash drive? Does it give the same result?
I had similar issues with Clonezilla/MiniTool software not recognizing my external USB drive, and then I changed out the USB cable for a Belkin USB and it found it.
Router Model: TPLINK WR1043ND V2
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r31277 std (02/07/17)
Kernel Version: Linux 3.18.47 #676 Tue Feb 7 03:07:52 CET 2017 mips
Status: OK
Reset: yes
Using QoS and usb/nas. Overall seems ok. Still some clients can disconnect when writing very large files (3-4GB) on the disks, but this occurs always with the same two clients, so I wonder if the problem can be with them.
HT40 degrades to HT20 when setting channel manually with lower extension channel, at least according with the sys-info page. No problem with upper extension channel. Funnily enough auto selects a lower extension channel.
For the monthly traffic graph: what suggested by Tatsuya46 above fixes it.
Didn't work for me. Disabled/Enabled and still nothing.

That is scary. Some other settings interfering? Did you apply settings both times (just to rule out the easy things ..).
Are you experiencing the some problem I have with HT40?

thnx
Even tried Flashdrives
Nothing wrong with the drive, it works perfectly with all firmware up to and including build 29396, and not a single build after that _________________ TPLINK TL-WR2543ND (5GHz)

Same for me. USB didnt work on 2/1/17 build either. The webGUI sees my sandisk cruzer mini 16gb and the partition and even says its mounted to /tmp/mnt/sda1 but its not. In my case the flash drive is formatted fat32. I havnt tried ext yet.
