Ifound I could flash lastest firmware. So I used 2day to flash all firmware to try. I can flash any firmware between 12-22-2014-r25697 and 08-16-2016-r30432.But I can not flash any firmware between 08-24-2016-r30471(May be,test too much, not sure, after 10-2016 must can not flash) and lastest.I had reset, flash factory, but can not to update to 03-04-2017-r31571.
So What I am wrong and How can I falsh to the lastest?
You shouldn't have a problem, are you trying to flash Kong or brain slyer builds? Also need more information. How did you flash? Did you use the wiki for the initial flashing of the router or some other tool? Did you clear nvram after flashing?
I was having that problem with some of the later builds on my AC1450 and I found that it would flash the .chk files and not the .bin files. Try downloading the .chk file and try that maybe?
I have an r6300 though, but i had this same issue before. I had a Dec 2014 firmware and could not get it to flash to the latest build. Alas, i had to revert to returning to netgear stock firmware and then by following instructions here: https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Netgear_R6300.
i guess the key is to make sure you download the initial flash CHK file. then from there, you can upgrade it to the lastest build.
To revert back to netgear firmware, all i did was to do a 30/30/30 reset (when NVRAM erase did not work for some reasons) and then uploaded into DDWRT the lastest netgear firmware (from netgear website). It worked the first time . key is to give the router 5 mins atleast to build the nvram before doing anything to it. good luck!
You won't be able to flash any build newer than 30432 because they are too big, you will see that error message if you flash through command line though. Only new Kong builds work.
@LCAAR, hard to believe that worked, the only difference between those files is a header. From what I'm seeing on your history of posts you only tried Kong builds and a BS build that bricked your router, which is what I said. _________________ R6400v2 (boardID:30) - Kong 36480 running since 03/09/18 - (AP - DNSMasq - AdBlocking - QoS) R7800 - BS 31924 running since 05/26/17 - (AP - OpenVPN Client - DNSMasq - AdBlocking - QoS) R7000 - BS 30771 running since 12/16/16 - (AP - NAS - FTP - SMB - OpenVPN Server - Transmission - DDNS - DNSMasq - AdBlocking - QoS) R6250 - BS 29193 running since 03/20/16 - (AP - NAS - FTP - SMB - DNSMasq - AdBlocking)
