As a happy dd-wrt user for several years, I've tried to go back to the beginning and download dd-wrt for a Netgear R7000 as a "newbie" ...

https://www.google.at/search?q=download+dd-wrt
no luck - no reference to beta downloads found

https://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database
still no luck - the Netgear R7/8xx are not found using the search

if you actually read the router-database site before your first search & get really lost furter down: https://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/other-downloads
or google for https://www.google.at/search?q=download+dd-wrt+beta
you maybe get lucky and find the current beta firmware or the support status of the R7000

----
maybe a little bit of fixing could help ...
unless finding dd-wrt beta is intentionally made hard Shocked, here are some of the technical causes:

https://dd-wrt.com/robots.txt
Code:

User-agent: *
Allow: /blog
Allow: /phpBB2
Allow: /shop/catalog
Allow: /dd-wrtv2
Allow: /dd-wrtv2/downloads
Disallow: /?

- does not allow:
/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices (or /wiki at all)

http://download1.dd-wrt.com/robots.txt - http500 internal server error

you all deliver a whole firmware ecosystem and continue to work all the time for the next great build.
thank you very much for your effort and your hard work !!

http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/
http://ddwrt-kong.clonevince.fr/
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/

usually links are posted along with every new build, in the forum....
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=307707

Builds in the router database are very old and do not apply
very well, so for R7000 take your time to read

thanks for your reply ...

well - ofc I know all this - but from talking to friends, possible users can't find the beta builds easily ...
That's the whole story ...

desipro = kong builds
and to find http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=307707
you would need to know that the R7000 is "Broadcom SoC based Hardware" ... as a newbie ... yeah

you explicitly mentioned the supported devices page and ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas in several of your latest posts ...

beta download and supported models infos should be on the front page of dd-wrt or major update of the router database ...

how can I help ??
