@lucky_strike33,
Just download this firmware and update from GUI.
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2017/03-17-2017-r31690/netgear-r9000/factory-to-ddwrt.img

Firmware is pretty stable, no issues except the 60GHz radio doesn't work yet.

I thought Kong had this working in the WebUI and @BS had this working in at least one prior build.

Well, no one confirmed that it is working. Both BS and Kong do not have any clients to test it out.
Magnetron and I have two R9000s which can be tested as WDS-Station / WDS-AP but never were able to get it working.

Yes, Everything works except the 60Ghz radio. If this is a must have feature for you then you would need to wait for a while.

Honestly I wouldn't even know how to test that. I don't think I have a single thing that works at 60Ghz. Not my iPhones or any of my macs.

Best way to test this is to have another R9000 and connect it as repeater/client bridge.
Only Magnetron and I have two R9000s. I'm not able to get it to work.
Magnetron probably gave up!
