Build: 31722

Thank you!

break during CFE boot then menu appear.
I solved flashing with webflash version (another Broadcom router but same CPU family).
CFE Common Firmware Environment "is" the core of boot, while it responds we are alive.

I have since fallen back to build 31277.

If using DNS-O-Matic, enter:

nvram commit
reboot

How about NO-IP.COM?

I entered your command via telnet anyway, pressing <Save> still dind't remember settings. The DDNS page just went
blank and the router was rebooted.

BTW, I just noticed that the telnet was accessible from Putty when the setting page indicated it's disabled.

If you can not stop the reboot loop with a defaulted stock firmware load, then your r8500 has likely succumb to the netgear admitted hardware failure.

Router: 2x Buffalo D1300
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r31722 giga (03/21/17)
Kernel: Linux 3.10.105 #14226 Tue Mar 21 12:31:30 CET 2017 mips
Reset: No
Errors/Issues: Again WL1 not stable as AP...

... on 2.4GHz radio to Buffalo WHR1166D on stock FW (repeater), as DD-WRT isn't accepted - though listed (BS knows this for a LONG time). Other devices seemed fine while short test. Sadly going back to r30949, as I didn't have the time to reset and configure from scratch (new kernel).

As CB r31722 is rock-solid on the D1300 (no reset), working to the same WHR1166 (WL1).

Both D1300 are configured straight forward (no WDS, no VPN, no firewall rules). Radios on defaults, fixed channels, N only on WL1, AC/N mixed on WL0.

Router: D-Link DIR-860 A1
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r31722 giga (03/21/17)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.55 #1337 SMP Tue Mar 21 08:19:58 CET 2017 armv7l
Reset: Yes
Errors/Issues: It took a hardware reset and several reboots to be operational, but that could have been a UBD issue.

Temperatures look ok with the front of the case removed. They roughly match what I was seeing with v28647.
CPU 63.6 °C / WL0 45.7 °C / WL1 52.0 °C

Wired LAN to WAN performance is about inline with what I expect from the ISP. Have not checked locally.

Can't see the 5GHz AP from a Kindle Fire HD8 6th Gen, [s]but it looks ok from other devices[/s]. Still researching / working on settings to see if it can be resolved.

Not doing anything 'fancy' with it. It is connected as a wired and wireless AP with mostly default settings.

Edit: 5GHz radio was NOT visible from any other devices. Performed a factory reset and reboot, still no 5GHz. A hard reset did not change it.

Edit 2: Since the 5GHz failure could have been due to noobishness or hardware failure, went back to the OEM firmware (1.10), and the 5GHz radio worked. Reloaded this dd-wrt release, patiently waiting for the process to finish, and the 5GHz is bad again. It's not a range issue since I'm sitting right next to the AP. The 2.4GHz radio tests fine.

I had the same problem with 2 fire sticks bought in Germany. Try Reg Domain Germany, channel width VHT80, lower lower and channel 116. Germany domain should give you better range than US on 5ghz mid channels.

Don't think range is a problem. I'm sitting right next to the AP.

I know the problem was not even seeing the SSID, that's because the sticks I've got are incompatible with 149+ channels. Therefore I took a wild guess that this could be happening to you too.

Router: ASUS RT-AC3100
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r31722 std (03/21/17)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.55 #1342 SMP Tue Mar 21 08:51:58 CET 2017 armv7l
Status: Working
Reset: GUI Reset after initial flash
Errors: Wireless errors a little high, and WAN Status LED is red (disconnected), rather than white (connected).

Flash seemed okay. Had trouble getting wireless up a few times, and required a reboot. Upon reboot, the CFE mini server came up with flashing options. Not sure what that was about, but it's uptime of 11 hours now since flash/setup.
