|
How do I debug mobile broadband connectivity? I do not get connected.
How do I see what my router is trying to do? Turn on logs, initiate a connect?
Where do I find current and valid information?
I have used the dongle on another machine - a RPi with Raspbian - where it does work.
On my DD-WRT router, I am able to connect manually with 'chat'; see below.
----
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r31722 std (03/21/17)
Router: WRT1200ACv2
Dongle: D-Link DWM-157 B1, 2001:7d02, is on the list of DD-WRT dongles with no comments.
A "cat /proc/bus/usb/devices" includes this:

I can find the 3G-dongle of mine under /dev - and after playing around with some of the utilities with which I am not acquainted, I do get a positive response from the modem itself:
root@enterprise:/tmp# /usr/sbin/chat -E -s -V -f /tmp/_scriptfile < /dev/ttyUSB0 > /dev/ttyUSB0
ATZ
OK
ATZ +CFUN=1,0
OK
ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
OK
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet"
OK
root@enterprise:/tmp# cat _scriptfile
ABORT ERROR
TIMEOUT 10
"" ATZ
OK "ATZ +CFUN=1,0"
OK "ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0"
OK "AT+CGDCONT=1,\"IP\",\"internet\""
OK ""
I note that some of the existing scripts on the router happens to use AT_OWANCALL and AT_OWANDATA. These commands I can not get to work, but than again - I do not know if the scripts I am looking at happens to be used at all (like e.g. /etc/hso/hso_connect.sh).
