Guys,
(First of all i admit i am a newbie in this router firmware flashing thing)
My Router Specs
• Company: Tp-Link
• Model No.: TL-WR740N V:6.0
• Last Installed firmware: Stock firmware from Tp Link
What have i done?
• I downloaded firmware file (.bin) from wiki.openwrt.org
openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr740n-v6-squashfs-factory
• tplinkwifi.net and flashed the above file in firmware upgrade
• It said Firmware upgrade successful
• Then it restarted my Router
Thats All till now.
Now I cant login to my router neither via 192.168.1.1 nr via tplinkwifi.net.
Telnet is also not working with the fault "network error:connection refused"
Please don't confuse dd-wrt with openwrt as they are not the same. You can get dd-wrt from dd-wrt.com and for openwrt from openwrt.org
It seems that you have flashed openwrt into your router and if you think the router is bricked. There is information about how to unbrick your router on openwrt wiki. Probably the same wiki that you are referring to. If you need further help on openwrt, they do have their own forum at openwrt.org
In case you want to flash dd-wrt later, make sure you have revert your router back to stock firmware first as it is not a good idea to go from openwrt directly to dd-wrt as it will brick your router again.
