Hi everyone,

I see that v5 of the WNDR3700 isn't available. Just wondering if anyone has any plans to pick this one up?

I see this thread-->
https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=56737

but it seems to have stalled... Is the MediaTek chipset particularly difficult? Is that why it hasn't been picked up? Its been out for some time now and I'm wondering if I should cut my losses and unload the one I do have.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I would like to know too.

I have one handy that I'm willing to do testing on if that would help.

I bought a netgear wndr3700, since it is a supported model. Then I found out I have the v5 one, which is not supported.
Who wants to support / install this model and which resources do you need to do so?

Hello,

yes is a question because clearly is not in the supported list but is possible that it will be in the future knowing that it is allready in DD-WRT/LEDE?

Support added for Netgear R6800, R6850, R6260, R6350, R6220 and WNDR3700v5 was added in 45563, recommended initial build for these was stated to be 45820 due to some development issues. However, no feedback on this device until the following thread was posted:

Unable to Flash WNDR3700v5

UPDATE 05.31.23: Currently, the development for proper support for this device is in progress; as noted in the above thread, 52805 and 52826 alpha test builds work, but without 2.4 wifi band functionality.

UPDATE 06.01.23: More development progress; 52832 alpha test build has working 2.4 wifi. Curently waiting on the next public beta.
