For anyone who is looking for these generic 12548 Broadcom builds for the Linksys WRT54G/GS routers with at least 4 Mb flash memory. mini build for initial flash.

Many thanks for posting these 2 builds, exactly what I was looking for. Would you also know what the hashes are, so that I can check them after they have been downloaded? Have looked but can't find them.

Thanks, thenotwellman for sharing these. I note that in https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=307572 you recommended not to use this build saying that it has issues. In addition, the eko subdirectory disappeared, leading me to further suspect something not right about the 12548 build.
On the other hand I've seen the eko 12548 build recommended in several of the sticky threads, including the peacock thread. Unfortunately the link in the peacock thread does not link to the eko 12548 build, as it has disappeared.
Could you elucidate on why this build is not recommended?
I don't know why the devs deleted the builds. But the only routers that really needed the eko builds are the version 1, 1.1 and 2 of the WRT54G routers as well as the v1 of the Motorola 850G router since these had very early radios that worked better with the VINT driver. But, these builds had many bugs and were vulnerable to heartbleed.
It's also known that all of the WRT54G routers work better with builds prior to mid 2014.
The WRT54Gv2 doesn't need VINT builds; it is corerev 7.*

Since WRT54G/GL/GS routers are commonly used as Repeater Bridge or Client Bridge these days, the krack fix build 33772 should be used. I've seen plenty of New Build posts in the past year reporting recent builds working better than old builds like the ubiquitous 14929. But yes, except for the old G 'VINT' routers, 14929 should be the minimum. I also recall seeing a New Build post about someone using a 14929+ build on a 'VINT' router and that it was working well, but that was just one report. Perhaps it was one of the Gv1.1's that used corerev 5.

Most routers should use NEWD rather than VINT when they can. VINT is for old routers that cannot support the new wireless drivers and have a correv of 4 or less.
