I can confirm the same. I have a Linksys EA6500 v2 and the only working DD-WRT version I've been able to flash so far is 27858. I've tried 29409 2016-04-05, 31899 2017-04-24 and 31924 2017-05-02 and all three of those later versions result in the infinite boot loop described above. I can only recover from that loop using TFTP.
