Here is my situation
Hardware is as follow at customer site
1. Data Network 198.168.168.0/23 default GW 192.168.168.1 (VLAN 0)
2. Voice Network 198.168.170.0/23 default GW 192.168.170.10 (VLAN 6)
3. Asus R16 DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10)mega @ 192.168.170.25 sitting on Voice VLAN

I need to have permanent access to my Avaya Aura servers on the voice VLAN, so my Asus R16 has a DSL connection on the WAN side and port 1 is sitting directly on the voice VLAN.

If using a PPTP connection from my PC to the ASUS R16 it works fine, I can scan all IP’s on the Data and Voice VLAN.

My Goal is to have a permanent link form my LAB DD-WRT to the Customer site DD-WRT so I can test my other hardware for other future remote site.

1. LAB DD-WRT v24-sp2 (11/02/09) std 192.168.100.1/24 Default GW 192.168.100.1
2. Customer DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10)mega 192.168.170.25/24 Default GW 192.168.170.10

Sitting on the LAB network the only IP I can ping is 192.168.170.25 my Asus RT16
Tracing from LAB device to main remote server look like this. It stops at the Asus RT16. It seem that the DD-WRT is not routing the packets to the local lan.
My operating mode is Gateway.
I have disabled the DHCP because customer is providing it.

G430-021(super)# traceroute 192.168.170.30
Tracing route to 192.168.170.30 over a maximum of 30 hops, 32 bytes packets.
Press any key to abort.
1 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 192.168.100.1
2 29 ms 28 ms 28 ms 192.168.170.25
3 * * * request timed out

If you need anymore info or config info let me know.

I have similar setup from my Home DD-WRT to Lab DD-WRT and it work as it should. The only difference is that the LAB DD-WRT is the default GW for the LAB versu the Customer Site, they have their own Def. GW and and i am only sitting on the LAN.

Thanks

Did you ever get this resolved?

It seems setting up DDWRT + VPN + Avaya is a #&^$@^, every topic I search I find zero replies or no solutions. Starting to wonder if it is possible?

No point in starting trouble shooting such an old topic.

My advice is to use OpenVPN and not the deprecated PPTP.

http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/OpenVPN
https://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source.html

Note: If you have a newer dd-wrt Build, you have OpenVPN 2.4, where the configuration files from previous versions do not work.
