|
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to compile a kernel module for the Realtek 8192EU.
The router is a Linksys EA6900 running XVortex's CFE and Kong's 29620M build.
I want to play around with a USB NIC that has the Realtek chip on it.
What I have tried so far is to setup the toolchain, download kernel source (3.10), have a local copy of rev 29620 DD-WRT source, and have the Realtek driver.
I then tried to follow along the post for ARM. I was not successful.
Then, I tried to follow the steps on this page. Again with no success.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, since I can't get it to work.
I'm using the toolchain-arm_cortex-a9_gcc-6.1.0_musl-1.1.15_eabi. Everything is running on Debian 8.
The error happens when I do make config or make menuconfig:
Makefile:502: /home/user/Desktop/dd-wrt/linux3-10/arch//Makefile: No such file or directory
make: *** No rule to make target '/home/user/Desktop/dd-wrt/linux3-10/arch//Makefile'. Stop.
If I compile the Realtek module by itself, I am unable to load it with insmod:
insmod: cannot insert '8192eu.ko': invalid module format
Any help is appreciated. I would love to learn how to do it, so any pointers to how things are done are more than welcome.
Thank you for taking a look. |
