Hi,
I am still holding out hope for this device. I am in a restricted country and am thinking of updating my old ASUS router.
Any updates?

Thanks!

If you live in restricted country the C50 is not the best choice to replace your old Asus...
Just to let you know C50 v1 has single core 580Mhz CPU, C50 v2 has single core 720Mhz CPU and C50 v3 has a Mediatek CPU all those are morally old and not suitable for good VPN speeds or they deliver very basic to intermediate WAN performance, so they are not capable for a modern high speed INTERNET connections....
If you use VPN you should get at least dual core CPU router something in range of Netgear R6400 or R7000 where they have a decent performance capabilities and good DD-WRT support....

Hi,
I appreciate the advice about this router being underpowered to run VPN software. I guess that, in the future, I'll have to consider a more expensive device, but, for now, this is the option that is available to me.
Any news on this router? I am guessing that BrainSlayer may be busy with the KRAAK vulnerability.
Cheers

I have been watching this with bated breath but decided to create an account to ask if there is any work still being done with this router. i have a number of them and would like to upgrade the firmware when possible but i will start looking for alternative hardware soon if this is a dead end.
thank you for all of the work you do. Very Happy

Has this progressed at all? Or worse -- have they given up?
