I've been tinkering with NoCatSplash on a WRT54GL running Eko's svn15230 std-nokaid.

NoCatSplash itself seems to be working, but I want to creat a small customized "splash.html".

I seem to be stuck with JFFS, and am not sure if I am doing something wrong, or just simply running up against a memory space limitation.

My status page reports JFFS space 128.00KB/0, presumably indicating zero available space.

Is there anything I can do to increase the amount of memory available to JFFS?

Any other sugegstions for how I might be able to make NoCatSplash work on a WRT54GL with a reasonably current version of dd-wrt?

I may have found a solution.... testing an Eko "mini-hotspot-kaid" svn15230 build now.

Well... Eko's "mini-hotspot-kaid" build appears to have resolved my issue.

Jffs space is now reported as 448.00KB / 124.00 KB, with a couple of K bytes devoted to NoCatSplash files copied to the jffs space.

Unfortunately, this build gives up https support... I would gladly sacrifice Kaid to get that back if possible.

FWIW, I find it curious that NoCatSplash apparently needs the WAN interface connection type to be "Automatic Configuration - DHCP" in order to function. I don't understand why it couldn't also work with a PPPoE or Static IP interface.

No, https is still there in the mini-hotspot-kaid, if you turn off http in administration, then reboot the unit, when you go to re-access the gui, try from https:// it should be there, its hidden, shhhh :)

Edit: yea that flavor build has always been my fave for my 4MB units, so i know it pretty good. Smile

Where can I find/download Eko's "mini-hotspot-kaid" build that you folks referred to? I also need to use NoCatSplash on a WRT54GL. I've been using DD-WRT for years but I haven't been able to find the build you referred to. Any help is appreciated!

I'm going to test it out tonight as well. I'm looking to not have to setup a SMB share/startup scripts to point my access points to server storage. It'd be nice to just keep the page right on the router.

So far so good...

Flashed WRT54GL V1.1 with that build and I enabled JFFS2. Said there was 127 K available which is plenty for my splash.html.

Now to setup VLANs, VAPs and NoCat...

Hi, i know this topic is very very old now but was wondering if anyone still have this firmware?

http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/eko/V24_TNG/svn15230/dd-wrt.v24-15230_NEWD_mini_hotspot_kaid.bin

The download link seems to be dead and i tried to browse over the download and i couldn't find this one..

I have wrr54g v2.2 and somehow i need to flash it a firmware that has a nocatsplash with fewer a availble space to modift the splash page.. Any advice would be great..

I was wondering does this build contains the nocatsplsh?

Also how would i know if the one im flashing is the correct firmware for my router if there has been no model reference to the firmware.

Thank you..
